Project Lifesaver is a program of proactive involvement and specialized operations that respond to incidents of victims of Alzheimer’s, Autism, Down Syndrome, and related disorders that have wandered from a safe location and cannot find their way back to safety.

About the event
Project Lifesaver is a program of proactive involvement and specialized operations that respond to incidents of victims of Alzheimer’s, Autism, Down Syndrome, and related disorders that have wandered from a safe location and cannot find their way back to safety. Clients wear a personalized bracelet that emits a continuous tracking signal. Each wristband has a unique radio frequency enabling a trained search team to positively locate and identify a missing person.
During the class students will learn more about:
-The program and clients with Alzheimer’s Disease, Autism, and Down Syndrome
-The RF effects and ranges during hands on training of the equipment indoors and outdoors.
-Conducting mobile searches in the field during over the road exercises.
-Become a Certified ESS (Electronic Search Specialist) by completing a written and practical field test, allowing them to assist with searching for missing or lost clients.
