Course Description

The Engine Company Operations class is an immersive, two-day, hands-on training program designed to prepare firefighters for the real-world demands of engine company work on the fireground. Led by instructor Brian Wholaver, this course emphasizes practical skill development over classroom theory, giving participants repeated opportunities to perform essential engine company functions in a controlled, high-repetition training environment.

Participants will actively engage in core operations including hose deployment, water supply management, nozzle operation, fire attack techniques, and coordinated crew performance under pressure. The focus is on building confidence, efficiency, and strong team communication in dynamic fireground conditions.
