Course Description

The 12-Lead EKG Interpretation class is a foundational to intermediate-level medical training program designed to strengthen a responder’s ability to recognize, interpret, and act on critical cardiac rhythms in the field. Led by EMS instructor Michael Hughes, this course focuses on practical application of electrocardiography in prehospital environments, with an emphasis on rapid recognition of life-threatening conditions.

Participants will learn how to systematically approach 12-lead EKGs, identify key abnormalities, and understand how cardiac electrical activity correlates with patient presentation. The class is designed to bridge the gap between basic rhythm recognition and advanced clinical decision-making.
